Michael joined Ternary in May 2001. With his focus on education, he has subsequently completed his studies towards a Diploma in Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management from UNISA, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from UCT’s Graduate School of Business and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State. He is a CFP® professional. He also completed his Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Estate Planning at the University of the Free State.
Michael uses his years of experience to focus on investment, retirement, financial and estate planning. He acts as an independent trustee on a variety of trusts. He also gives advice on business insurance and employee benefits for businesses.
Michael is always keen to continue his learning and studying, as he believes you are never too old to learn.
Michael loves to spend time with his wife and two boys and is most happy if he can be outdoors to try and squeeze in at least one or two braais a week.
Danie joined Ternary in May 2019. He is a Certified Financial Planner with a post-graduate diploma in Financial Planning. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, BA(Hons) and MBA, majoring in entrepreneurship.
He joined the financial services industry in 2006 and has since then built his career around supporting and consulting to leading independent financial planning businesses. His belief in putting the client first squarely supports Ternary’s value proposition which, as you know, is built on independent and objective advice.
Danie is a keen mountain biker and hiker and prefers to play outside. He is happily married to Jozanne who is a successful architect and together they have two children, Yvette and Stefan.
After starting in the Independent Financial Services Industry in 2007, Jennifer built up a vast amount of knowledge and experience, she joined Ternary in 2011 as Administrative Assistant and was promoted to Office Manager.
In 2013 Jennifer took some time to spend with her two new born boys and re-joined the workforce again in 2015, where she worked herself up to the National Shared Services Manager and led her team through structural and operational changes with great success.
In August 2017 she returned home, home is where the heart is and that is with Ternary. She re-joined as the Operational Manager.
Jennifer takes pride in growing individuals, personally and professionally. She believes that working as a team you can achieve greatness.
Jennifer enjoys nature and the great outdoors, spending time with family and friends or camping is her happy place.
Lizelle joined Ternary in April 2020. She is currently a financial planner under the supervision of Michael Tomas (as required by the Financial Services Conduct Authority) . She is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) with a post-graduate diploma in Financial Planning. She also holds a Honours degree in BCom Financial Management.
She joined the financial industry in 2019. She believes that she can make a difference in clients’ lives through objective, accurate and transparent advice.
Lizelle enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, going for a run and visiting the beautiful Cape Winelands area. She is a gym enthusiast and believes that physical and mental health are of equal importance. She believes that time spent with people, be it friends, family, clients or colleagues, grows, and drives her as an individual.
Anastasia joined Team Ternary as an Administrative Assistant in September 2021. Her primary goal is to provide accurate information to our financial planners so that clients can make informed decisions and achieve their financial goals. Her role contributes to the efficiency of our services by cultivating ongoing relationships with both clients and service providers, resulting in shorter turnaround times and satisfied clients.
She completed her bachelor’s degree in business administration and did a short course in Investment management and Client Servicing at the ASISA Academy, which sparked her interest in pursuing a career in the financial services industry.
Anastasia enjoys jogging, nature walks, and going to farmers’ markets, as well as spending time with friends and family. She believes that cultivating positive relationships is just as important as physical wellness because it improves one’s quality of life.
Candice returned to Ternary in August 2022 as the Operational Support Specialist. Her focus is to manage and maintain the Compliance Department. Candice also performs a crucial function as the link between our clients and the business which enables short turnaround times and allows everyone involved to be informed.
Candice has been involved in various aspects of various industries, such as an Account Manager for Municipal Solutions within the Property Industry who successfully managed 12 municipalities within the Western Cape. Candice also has a strong background in the banking industry where she started as a Customer Service Manager and finished as the Branch Manager overseeing 3 branches. The skills she learnt in her previous roles has sharpened her keen sense and drive to provide clients with exceptional service, which is why she shows up every day. Candice believes that encouragement sparks courage.
Candice is a bookworm of note and enjoys romantic novels by Francine Rivers and Nicholas Sparks. Candice is married to Eugene, a successful Accountant and together they have 2 beautiful children. As a family they love water activities.
